THE BLUESMAKERS

The Bluesmakers are a 6 -7 piece house rockin' blues and British r'n'b band whose shows guarantee a rip roaring evening which will have you on your feet from the first song through Muddy Waters, Eric Clapton, Howling Wolf, John Mayall, Robert Johnson, Peter Green, Jimi Hendrix, John Lee Hooker and , you've guessed it, The Rolling Stones. Formed in 1983 as The Johnny Waterhouse Blues Band by John Waterhouse (lead guitar) and Mike (slide guitar and vocals) with Farnham Haywood (harmonicas and vocals), Andy Dale (bass), Duncan Hansell (keyboard) and John Crimes (drums). The band's original line up is still mostly intact but now features Steve Giddings on lead guitar and occasional guests Phil Jackson (harmonica) and Rod Mayall (keys), who does have a rather famous step brother.

The name change to The Bluesmakers came a few years ago when John retired from playing live.  If you go onto Soundcloud (John Crimes or Mike Gledhill29) or ReverbNation (The Bluesmakers4) you'll hear some great originals and covers from the band's repertoire.
